The main styles of Balinese beds
The canopy bed — four teak posts, with or without drapes, from the traditional carved model to the minimalist canopy. It is the iconic piece of Balinese bedrooms and hotel suites.
The low platform — a solid frame close to the floor, with a Zen feel, often in teak or suar, that showcases a beautiful carved headboard.
The carved bed — panels and posts worked by hand by Balinese carvers: floral motifs, foliage, latticework screens. Every piece is unique.
Any size is possible: from a standard 140 × 190 cm to 200 × 220 cm, including non-European formats and heights adapted to your mattress.

Turned or twisted posts, minimalist straight lines, carved, cane webbing or slatted headboards: every model is made to your mattress size, in raw, honey or dark teak.
Teak or suar: which wood for your bed?
Solid teak remains the benchmark: stable and durable, it lasts for decades and copes with any climate — a decisive point if you live in a tropical or humid region. Suar offers spectacular grain for a gentler budget. Whatever the wood, what matters most is properly controlled drying before manufacturing — exactly what our agent checks in the workshop. A bed made from poorly dried wood will crack on arrival, and that is the number-one defect of purchases made without on-site checks.
