Our guarantees: pay with confidence
Ordering furniture from the other side of the world means sending money before you have seen anything. That is the real obstacle, and a legitimate one. Here is exactly what protects you — and, just as importantly, what we do not promise.
You never pay everything up front
That is the rule, and there are no exceptions. Payment follows a schedule tied to the real milestones of your order — start of production, final inspection, shipping — and both the amounts and their triggers are set out in black and white in the quote, before you commit.
This isn't a sales pitch, it is a filter. The most common Bali horror story always starts the same way: a large deposit wired to someone you have never met, then replies that grow further and further apart. The four classic traps are detailed here — and the first reflex that defuses them, even without us, is to refuse full payment in advance.
A written, firm, detailed quote
Before any commitment, you receive a quote that sets out: the price piece by piece, export packing, freight (full container or shared container depending on your volume), insurance, lead times and payment terms. No "from", no "miscellaneous" line. What you approve is what you pay; any change along the way is agreed in writing before it goes ahead.
What we commit to
- Compliance with what you approved — dimensions, wood species, finish. Every piece is checked on site before packing; anything non-compliant goes back to the workshop instead of onto the ship. The inspection is detailed here.
- Wood checked before production — drying is verified upstream, because that is the defect that shows up months after delivery, once the furniture is settled in your climate.
- Photo traceability — you receive photos of your furniture during production and before packing. You know what is leaving.
- A contact you can actually reach — not a contact form: our agent on the ground, whom you can call or message on WhatsApp throughout the project.
- An identifiable company — PT. THE SNOPA PRODUCTIONS, a registered company under Indonesian law, with its address and representative published in our legal notice. A seller who can't be named can't be held accountable.
What we do not promise
We would rather lose an order than be caught out being optimistic. Three things are beyond our control, and we will never guarantee them:
- The hazards of sea freight — a delayed departure, a transshipment, port congestion. We keep you informed throughout transit, but a ship's schedule belongs to no one.
- Formalities and costs on arrival — duties, taxes and procedures depend on your destination country or territory and on how the goods are classified, and they change over time. Only your customs broker or freight forwarder can give you exact, up-to-date amounts; we never quote a figure in their place. The general principles are explained here.
- Wood will stay wood — solid wood furniture lives, moves slightly, and its colour changes with the light. Controlled drying prevents cracks; it doesn't freeze the material, and no serious maker will tell you otherwise.
And if something goes wrong?
We start by talking about it. A WhatsApp message or an email reaches someone who knows your file and has seen your furniture: in the vast majority of cases, the amicable solution is also the fastest. The applicable legal framework, the conditions specific to each order and your rights — particularly if you are a consumer residing in the European Union — are set out in the legal notice and in the quote sent to you.
To place these guarantees within the full journey: the 6 steps, from your idea to delivery. And to understand where quality comes from upstream: how we choose our workshops.
Ask for the quote, read the terms, then decide
The estimate is free and without obligation: you see the prices, lead times and payment schedule before deciding anything.
