The carved Balinese door: an entrance that tells a story
In Bali, a door is not just a way through: it is a piece of architecture, carved by hand, marking the threshold between two worlds. Single or double leaf, in solid teak or old weathered wood, it is made to your exact dimensions.
From garden gate to front door
The carved front door — the great classic: deeply worked panels, floral or geometric motifs, with or without a matching carved surround.
The double interior door — for a garden, a patio or a master suite, often inspired by Balinese temple doors.
The contemporary door — clean lines, raw or stained solid wood, for those who want the material without the ornament.
Solid, hand-carved, to your measurements
Every door starts from your opening dimensions (height, width, thickness) and your opening direction. The wood is carved solid — no veneer — which allows it to be restored and gives it the characteristic weight of genuine Balinese doors. Our agent checks the drying of the wood before manufacturing: that is the critical point to make sure a solid door doesn't warp once it is installed in your home.
